Paste this into custom plugin's functions.php

function mytheme_custom_excerpt_length( $length ) {
    return 15;
}
add_filter( 'excerpt_length', 'mytheme_custom_excerpt_length', 999 );

return 15 means 15 words excerpt text being eclipsed. More on WordPress.org
